We have been in continuous contact with the Church in Zimbabwe and are so pleased to report to you that their zeal, hunger, and thirst for what is righteousness still goes on and grows daily. This in part is due to the sure foundation that was laid and built upon the Law and the Testimony of the bible and has been diligently reestablished by our brother Reuben who came to relieve me until my return in three months.
There is so much work to be done in regard to the saving and winning of souls not only in Zimbabwe, but also the world. There is truly a famine in the land. This famine is not for food or drink, but for the hearing of the word of God. To those of us who have been given much, much will be required of us. To whom God has given more, of them will men ask for more.
The Mission Continues for the Lord
It is at this stage of my life that I have come to truly understand just what a servant of God really is. The apostles, the disciples, the prophets and Jesus Himself all the only real examples that we have of what true servitude should be. And even in the natural world when we go into establishments where people are working, such as restaurants, hotels, and other places of business, we find capable men and women who are ready willing and able to come to your every need whatever the need. We also understand that these people have been trained. They are not novices in their particular field. Now these do it because it is their job and this job maintains and sustains them in this world.
It is a blessing in these days and times to be able to support the family. However, we as servants have been entrusted with the treasure of the true Word of God, and have been given the charge to put the light on a candlestick that it may give light to all that come into the house. We have also been purchased by the precious blood of Jesus so that we are not our own anymore. We have been enlisted in the Army of The Lord. We have become laborers in his Vineyard and he is looking for his precious fruit at the time of His second coming. That fruit, readers, are the men and women who are gathered by servitude in God’s vineyard.
The Mission Continues in Zimbabwe
I would ask of those who have taken the title of Christian or servant of God, at the end of each day you make a log of what you did that particular day (depicting and noting everything you did that particular day). When you prayed was it just for your household, was it just for your job, was it just for you? In your church is there a list of the sick and those who are in the hospital available for you to acquire? How many of those people did you visit or pray for? I can go on and on and on. Readers I’m not just talking to you I’m talking to myself also. If we total up all our activities during a particular day and found that all of them were directed just to ourselves and the things that pertain to us, we would discover that we did not work for God that day at all. All we did was wear the title of a servant of God.
Let us not love in word only but love truly indeed. For it is not the hearers of the Word that shall be justified, but the doers. If the mind of Christ is in us, then it is only a mind that is concerned with serving our brother and mankind. If we are to have the mind of Christ then we must always be reminded just what that mind is.
I will leave you with Philippians 2:3-5. In verse three it says, “let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in lowliness of mind that each esteem other better than themselves.” Verse four says, “look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” Verse five says, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” “Please God”, create in us a clean heart and renew in us a right spirit. Then and only then will we be able to teach transgressors thy way and sinners shall be converted unto thee! My brothers and sisters, this is what it is all about.
May God bless us all in the mighty name of Jesus…..Amen Amen!
