There are days when the weight of the world feels too heavy to carry. You may scroll through troubling headlines seeing all the devastating things going on in the world, worry about your children’s future, feel distance growing in your marriage, face uncertainty at work, or battle thoughts and fears that no one else can see. You may smile for everyone else while quietly asking God, “How am I going to make it through this?”
Sister, hear this today: God has you.
Not only when life is peaceful. Not only when your prayers are answered quickly. Not only when you feel strong, organized, faithful, and in control. God has you in the middle of the unanswered question, the hard conversation, the doctor’s appointment, the financial strain, the parenting exhaustion, and the private battle within your own heart.
The Bible does not promise that we will never face trouble. Jesus Himself said, “In the world ye shall have tribulation” (John 16:33, KJV). But He did not stop there. He continued, “Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” The same Savior who overcame death, sin, fear, and the grave is present with you now. Your circumstances may be uncertain, but your God is not.
When anxiety begins to take over, remember God’s invitation in Philippians 4:6–7: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” The phrase “be careful for nothing” does not mean your concerns are unimportant. It means you do not have to carry them alone. You can bring every fear to the Father, the fear that your child is making poor choices, the fear that your marriage will not heal, the fear that you are not enough, the fear that you will lose what you have worked so hard to build.
And then comes His promise: “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” God’s peace is not always the absence of a storm. Sometimes it is the steady assurance that, even while the wind is blowing, He is holding the boat.
Perhaps you are tired of being the strong one. You have carried your family in prayer, stretched the budget, managed the home, shown up for work, and tried to keep faith when your own heart was aching. God sees every unseen act of love and every tear shed in secret. Psalm 56:8 says, “Put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?” Your tears are not wasted before God. He notices. He remembers. He cares.
If you are facing conflict with your spouse, ask the Lord to give you wisdom, gentleness, and courage. If you are worried about your children, remember that they are loved by a Heavenly Father whose reach is greater than yours. If work feels unstable or doors seem closed, trust that God is still directing your steps. Proverbs 3:5–6 tells us, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
You may not understand the path, but you can trust the One leading you.
Even when you feel weak in your faith, God remains faithful. Isaiah 41:10 offers this powerful reminder: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.” Notice that God does not merely send encouragement from a distance. He says, “I am with thee.” He promises, “I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
So take the next step. Pray the next prayer. Have the needed conversation. Rest when you need rest. Release what you cannot control. Keep believing when the answer has not yet come.
God has you in His hands. He has your home, your children, your marriage, your future, your work, your healing, and even the pieces of your heart you have been afraid to show anyone. You are not forgotten, abandoned, or alone.
“The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him” (Nahum 1:7, KJV).
No matter what today holds, hold on to this truth: God has you.
