Women are staking steps to actively address feelings of loneliness, hurt, and broken hearts. My beautiful sisters are gathering in small groups in the four corners of the earth, and we are doing what we do best. We are talking, but not gossiping and spreading negativity and discord, we are talking about self-improvement. We are talking about strategies to improve our physical and mental health.  We are talking about how to improve ourselves as women of God, wives, mothers, and sisters, neighbors, and coworkers.  And, we are focused on gratitude.

Not only are we gathering as women seeking knowledge, but as daughters responding to familial call from our daddy as He did in Jeremiah 9:17-20. This is not an ordinary season, and gratitude is leading the way.. These are not routine gatherings. These gatherings are happening monthly, weekly, and quarterly, either face-to-face or virtually. However, these gatherings are sacred moments, divinely appointed, uniquely designed, and fully orchestrated by His Spirit. No matter what we call our Daddy and His Son, or no matter what specific month or day we observed the High Holy Days in their seasons, we are gathering to study to shew ourselves approved, to pray for transformation, for our families, and our communities.

Women are understanding how to surrender to God, as a path to peace, humility, and a deeper connection with our Him. We are allowing ourselves to trust in a higher power and find strength in letting go of control and understanding how gratitude literally changes the frontal cortex in the brain where emotions are controlled. At the same time, we our encouraging other sisters around us to surrender to God and practice gratitude as well. We are focused on trust and faith because surrender is an act of faith, trusting in God’s wisdom and guidance, even when things are uncertain or difficult. We are surrendering to humility, peace, acceptance, purpose, transformation and growth. The purpose of this growth happens as women engage in deeper listening and understanding, attempting to convey emotions and complex nuances in the presence of quiet time, fostering introspection and engaging in self-reflection.  The purpose of all this internal work is to help make our calling and election sure.

We are gathering with a gratitude mindset, so our iron can sharpen the iron of our sisters and so that we can teach our daughters to pray as well. We are moving away from being “backsliding daughters.” We are learning the new thing God has done in the earth so that “a woman can compass a man.” We are learning lessons from our foremothers. We are preparing our hearts so that we can walk into the throne room where God and His Son abide, and we can be filled by our Elohim. We are learning to lay down every weight and stepping into the power of God, where we are more than conquerors. We are surrendering to God. We are laying down every fear, every question, every hesitation, every wound, and everything that causes us stress, depression, and anxiety. We are coming before Him empty, so that He can fill us. We are making room for study and clearing your schedules of the busyness so we can tap into His power. Sisterhood groups are silencing the noise and removing distractions. We are holding one another accountable and being interactive and unifying in our corners. We are serving. We are meditating. We are studying, We are praying and we have learned to use praise as a tool to reach our Father so He can go before us and fight for us and all us to walk in peace and love and grace and mercy. We are submitting and abiding in virtue. We are changing our walk and transforming our talk. We are worshiping and committing our way to our Daddy and His son. My beautiful sisters are gathering in the four corners of the earth.

So, sister, look around you and join a group of women engaged in using gratitude as a process of continuous improvement.  If you can’t find a group in your church or your community, start one. There are sisters just like you are waiting for someone to invite them to such a group.  Keep me posted and let me know the result. You can also use my Jeremiah 9 Woman book series, Becoming a Praying Woman and Step Into Your Power Study Journey to jump start your studies. You can find them on my website. michellerhnea.com. Register your Women’s Prayer group and link to the larger sisterhood. Look forward to the resources and ideas to come. And feel free to share ideas and resources with other sisterhood groups of grateful praying women there as well.

Let’s build an army of praying women and think about getting these small groups together from time to time to share our activities and progress.  Join the mailing list on my website, michellerhnea.com or email me at michellerhnea622@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you and hearing about the activities of your sisterhood group. If you don’t know where to start, try my gratitude journal activities, share your journals with one another, and branch off from there.  I guarantee that once you start, and if you start with building gratitude, the ideas will flow, and God will lead you to where He wants your group to grow and go.  The link to the gratitude journal entries is attached to this writing.

Ways to Praise God

Pray: Prayer is a method to honor God, and it can involve requests for forgiveness, repentance, and sin cleaning.

Sing: Express your gladness in God’s presence by singing a praise song or playing an instrument. Sing a song of praise.

Read scripture: Read scripture aloud or memorize it. Use the scriptures for meditation.

Bow: Recognize God’s sanctity and sovereignty by bowing before Him.

Shout: Lift your voice and praise God with all your might. Raise your voice and worship God with all your strength.

Love others: Loving others is a method of glorifying God.

Admire nature: Take a walk around a park or neighborhood to appreciate the marvels of nature. Thank God for what you see.

Give generously: Give generously as a way to glorify God. Charity covers a multitude of sin and whey you give to the poor, it is like lending to God. You reap what you sow.

Live honorably: Live with honor and integrity among unbelievers as a way to glorify God. Be a light.  When unbelievers encounter you, they should see the God in you.

Praise in difficult times: Praise God especially when things are not going well. Praising him is an act of faith that God honors. When we praise him, he inhabits our praise.  We get his attention.
