Pastor Stevie Robinson, was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and now lives in Chicago, Illinois. Pastor Stevie is how he is affectionately referred to in his circle. He founded and leads Preacherhead Ministries, Inc. along with his co-Pastor Nehemiah Daniels. The mission of PHM is twofold: The mission of our Outreach Ministry is to feed as many people as we can reach physically and spiritually through the Word of God.

Pastor Stevie was inspired to launch the Poor and Needy project when he was asked to do missionary work in Zimbabwe. This work forever changed the trajectory of his life. While in Zimbabwe, he witnessed a level of poverty like he had never seen before. Yet even in these dire straits Pastor Stevie saw laughter and joy which made him appreciate his blessings all the more.

The water shortage was one of the major things that struck Pastor Stevie as critical. He says, “There are millions of people that are living in conditions where there is no clean water.” His personal experience of living in these conditions while in Zimbabwe for thirty days moved him deeply. He witnessed people having to walk two to three miles to fetch water every day to attend to normal tasks—acts of hygiene that we take for granted. He himself had to wash up in a bucket during his visit. Observing this on a daily basis inspired him to start a Clean Water Campaign to raise money to bore well holes to provide clean water to families he met in Zimbabwe.

When Stevie returned to Chicago, he initiated PreacherHead Ministries, Inc. as a tax exempt 501c3 organization. He immediately began preaching the gospel and made people aware of how important it is to give to the poor and needy, particularly if one is looking to get access into God’s kingdom.

Pastor Stevie explains, “When one gives to the poor, it is the best spiritual and financial security that one could have. This investment ensures one’s financial wellbeing that is granted from God who gives us all things. It ensures that you will have what you need when you need it. More importantly, the real treasure is getting into God’s government/kingdom by giving to the needy.”

This concept made Pastor Stevie aware that when giving to the poor, you are giving to God Himself. It makes you truly able to wear the title of a servant that can only come from God through you. The people on the receiving end do not praise you they praise God! God does not dwell in temples made by the hands of men; he lives in us.

Today, Preacherhead Ministries (PHM) has grown and continues to do the work it set out to do in the beginning, preach the gospel of the coming kingdom and serve the poor and needy. PHM has volunteers who see the necessity of the work of caring for the poor and needy and they have grafted themselves into this vine of service.

Pastor Stevie was asked that if he could do anything in the world, what would it be? He simply exclaimed; “I cannot think of anything that I would rather be doing.” This anointed man of God is doing exactly what God called him to do.

Stevie comes from a musical family; his dad was a guitarist, and his mom was a gifted singer. Not surprisingly, Stevie is a musician by trade. He plays piano, guitar and sings. He believes being a musician has helped to shape who he is today. He and his lovely wife Renee, who is also an accomplished vocalist often perform together in praise and worship. Pastor Stevie has eight children that include several talented award-winning musicians.  To get in contact with Pastor Stevie, stevie@preacherhead.org
