Pondering the Heart

Pondering the Heart

In the book of Proverbs, Solomon says:

2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.

This is to say that often times, especially if we feel we have sound judgement, we may feel we are correct in our judgements and actions that we do. Unless you are trying to pull-a-fast-one on someone, we make judgements based on having a good conscience.

Nevertheless, if we are human, we do operate with a bit of biases, and biases usually tends to favor ourselves. That is to say we are right in our own eyes or our own point of view… what we must keep in mind is that God is always pondering the heart.

God is pondering what is not just in our conscious thought or heart, but what is in our heart of hearts. People call this the “subconscious” thought.

So please keep in mind, that although we may believe we have sound judgement in things, God is still pondering the heart of our actions and judgements.

Peace and blessings,
