Put Not Your Trust in Man

Put Not Your Trust in ManI have been flooded with questions concerning the recent events of the new pope and the Papacy and exactly what is the meaning of it. As I watched the television, I saw men, women, and children of every nationality and denomination there to see the unveiling of the new pope. As I watched in amazement at the pomp and circumstance, I could not help but think of how the nations were not clued in to just what they were worshiping… a man…not God!

This blog is not to offend anyone’s religion or faith… it is only here to validate what is in the Word of  God.  As I have spoken  in other blogs about the church of God, that there are no denominations that I can find written in the Bible. There is only the church of God which is composed of all nationalities. There is also only one way to get your prayers and supplications to be heard by the Father… and that is through the Son Jesus. Any other means is unacceptable, invalid, and also offensive to God the Father as well as God the Son.

Put Not Your Trust in Man

We must trust in the Lord and lean not unto our own understanding. God is very particular in what he wants us to do and how he wants to be served. The reason for this warning is because if we are not careful, we can serve God in vain by not knowing how to serve him.

Readers we must understand the Papacy and what it represents. The Papacy, which arose on the ruins of the Roman Empire, differed from all the previous forms of Roman power, claiming universal dominion over both spiritual and temporal affairs, but especially spiritual. It was the union of church and state, with the church being the dominant factor.

God however, does warn us several times in his word about the work of this particular organization. Even the attitude and rivalry of the Papacy represented by the Little horn in Daniel chapter 7 verse 25 it reads, “And he shall speak great words against the Most High.” Here in another place in the New Testament God speaks by the mouth of Paul to the Thessalonians, 2nd Thessalonians 2:4: “Who opposeth and exalted himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”

Put Not Your Trust in Man…No Matter Who the Man Is

Most Roman catholic writers, will indicate to what extent the Papacy has done this: “All the names which are attributed to Christ in the scriptures, implying his supremacy over the church, are also attributed to the Pope.”-Bellarmine,”On the Authority of Councils,” Book 2, chap 17. These extracts or writings are from Roman Catholic writers with authority. Let’s look at more of what they say about him… “For thou art the shepherd, thou art the physician, thou art the director, thou art the husbandman: finally thou art another God on earth.” -From the Oration of Christopher Marcellus…”History of the Councils,” published in 1672… Let’s look more at their position and stance.  “The pope is the supreme judge of the law of the land. He is the vicegerent of Christ, (get this), Who is not only a priest for ever, but also King of Kings and Lord of Lords.” Quoted in the ” Vatican Council,” March 18, 1971.

Readers, they have assumed the priesthood, and assumed infallibility, which belongs only to God. They profess to forgive sins, which only belongs to God. They profess to open and shut heaven, which only belongs to God. They profess to be higher than all the kings of the earth, which only belongs to God.  They also go against God, when they give indulgences for sins. This is the worst of all blasphemies.

In Matthew chapter 23 verse 9 Jesus says, “And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father which is in heaven.  “This is an organization not only that calls this man the father, but the Holy Father! We must understand just exactly what we are dealing with in these latter times.

In conclusion, let us take a last look at the words of Jesus concerning the way to get to God. In St. John chapter 10 verse 1 Jesus says, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth  not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth  up some other way, The same is a thief and a robber. 2 v. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 7 v. Then Jesus said unto them again, Verily verily I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.8 v. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9v. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”

In Jeremiah chapter 17 verse 5 it reads,”Curseth is the man that putteth his trust in man, and maketh flesh his arm, Whose heart departed from the Lord.”

Grace and peace in the mighty name of Jesus Amen!
